Take me out to the ballgame!

We met up wth the fam in Atlanta for a quick weekend that involved some shopping for the girls and a Braves vs. Yankees game for the guys.  They had such a blast though tensions were high between the Braves fan and Yankees fan...

Free tote bag!

We sure do love our guys!

Hide 'em in your heart

I decided to try my hand at Bible journaling or Bible doodling. It's all over Pinterest and I've always loved underlining meaningful verses or writing a date next to a passage when it blessed me. Why not add some colored pencils to the fun!?!

I already had a journaling Bible with wide margins but had never used it so after a stop at Hobby Lobby for some pens and pencils I was set.

I started with my favorite passages, got some font inspiration online, told myself to not get too uptight with perfection and have really enjoyed this new outlet of worship.

Galatians 5:22, 23 with 6:1 from a recent sermon I loved

Ecclesiastes 3:11 with our love timeline on the facing page

Ephesians 3:20, how Bro. Jimmy announced us married

Romans 15:13, my blog theme verse

Micah 6:8, a powerful verse my junior year in college

Isaiah 25:1, 9 that's encouraged me lately

At first I thought it might be hard to doodle in my Bible but immediately felt the Lord's approval that's it just another way to hide His truth in my heart. You should try it!

Bon Voyage

We said "Bon Voyage" to Chris's longtime friend, Marco and his wife Ashley last night. Marco is in the Navy and they are moving overseas for several years.

It's a bit bittersweet to see them move on but we are thankful for the memories these two have together and for Marco's service to our country.

I decided chocolate would ease the emotion, so I shared my (via Rhega!) S'mores COOKIE Bars. With these cute picks I found at Marshall's, they were a hit last night!

Happy travels to our friends!
