I've been on a quest for the best rice and I might have found it...

Jasmine rice!

I read online that it is the type Chinese restaurants use. The cooking directions are a little different than what I'm used to. You add the water and rice all at once, bring to a boil, then lower to a simmer for about 10 minutes. Oh, and don't lift the lid- lifting the lid develops the starches and makes sticky, gooey rice.

You could actually smell the rice cooking and it was oh so good!!!

Falling Up

The white chicken chili is in the crockpot and the fall decor is up...those two things are just pure happiness!

I decided we could love our turkey now and not have to wait till November...

That's my light-up pumpkin in the back corner...with fall picks tucked behind the banner on the mantle. And don't forget the candy corn on the coffee table!

These candle holders are actually from Camp Victory's 50th anniversary several years ago...such a treasure!

 Happy fall, y'all!

Best panini ever...priceless

Chris's co-worker gave us tomatoes so I added shredded rotisserie chicken, bacon, shredded cheese and mayo and we had one delicious dinner! Those chickens are packed with flavor!!!

It's the most wonderful time of the year...

It's time for BSF to start again! For those of you who are unfamiliar, Bible Study Fellowship, is an international Bible study that's been a part of my life a long time.
My mom has been a part of BSF since I was in middle school and this is my 10th year as a member!!!

Time flies when you are digging deep in God's word!

Our class started Monday night and I have to confess the most exciting part was when the traffic report girl I watch on the news every morning walked into my group! I actually hugged her like we were old friends. Totally crazy, I know!!!

This year we are studying the Life of Moses and I can't wait to see what the Lord is going to do.
