A House Divided

Since college football is starting, I thought I'd get the house ready. In the name of marital bliss, I opted for Gator colors...

...but of course, I'm still a Bama girl at heart...sorry, Babe!

Treasure!

My boss, Michael, surprised me today with a treasure chest of Post-it Notes!

There are over 10,000 sheets weighing in at 10 lbs!

Happy sticky note day to me!

Hello, Dolly!

A few weeks ago, in-laws adopted two new puppies from the animal shelter.

They are sisters, Dolly and Loretta (who've I've dubbed Lolo, after my beloved former mayor). When my mother-in-law took the puppies back for thier shots, the folks at the shelter told her that Dolly made the cover of a local magazine!

A star in the family!

Treaty Oak

We've been meaning to visit Treaty Oak downtown and finally made our way there Friday night. Treaty Oak is over 200 years old with a trunk that is over 25 feet in circumference and more than 70 feet tall.  The branches actually swoop to the ground- it's incredible!

You can really get a feel for its size when compared to us!

This poor branch had to be propped up!

This is me demonstrating how big around the branches are...

We made a treaty while at Treaty Oak...the minute we get $80,000 extra dollars, we're calling Pete, the Treehouse Master, and building a fort!
