Queen of the House

Honey Bunch is certainly taking over the house! It's funny to see what new spots she discovers.
Can you find her?

The Queen has found new thrones...

Don't forget beauty sleep!

Unfortunately, not everything is at her beck and call...the coasters don't cooperate...

The couch just sits there...

The Mt. Dew lid is always screwed on...

And someone won't stop taking her picture (is she avoiding me?!?)...

And sometimes doors get closed which is hard to understand when you are used to free reign over the house!

BUT I believe our prayers might be close to being answered, because I saw her reach for a coaster that has a Bible verse on it!

School Friends

I feel so blessed to have met so many sweet friends at UNA! I don't think I could make it through some of these classes without them!

We've been trying for months to get together outside of school and our MLK day off proved perfect for a sleep over.

I served them a few of my fav recipes and we made UNA ornaments (the ornaments make more sense if you know we thought we were doing this before Christmas!)

Here's Emily, Alicia and Leslie...

Such a fun night with such fun girls!

New Job...New Love...New Classes....

{new job}

It's no accident that the week we are studying the passage in Genesis on how God answers prayers in His timing, that one of our family's long-term prayers were dad got a new job!   In true Forester fashion, we took him to Dunkin' Donuts to celebrate!

{new love}

Soooo...Honey Bunch has totally stolen my heart...attention...pillows...sleep...

But isn't she beautiful???  I think I annoy her with my camera, but she's just gonna have to get used to it!

I would ask that you pray for her salvation, because she was dead set against me doing my BSF this week.  She tried to eat my Bible, block my writing hand and seemed very unhappy.  I hope she loves Jesus soon!

And how's this for the saddest thing ever?  Two little paws under the door as I was trying to go to bed...

And speaking of little paws...I LOVE HER LITTLE PAWS!!!

And her little nose...

Look at this bundle of love stretched out on my's the best part of my day!

Honey Bunch has also enrolled in the Interior Design program at UNA with me.  She particularly loves using her Sharpies and hole punch...she's very talented!

{new classes}

I just finished my second week of classes and I'm enjoying being back!  In my Visual Presentation I class, we're learning how to use and blend color pencils because we will eventually learn how to render beautiful interiors!  I'm also taking Interior Design II where I'll be remodeling a 1920's church into a bakery; Digital Visualization where we are learning Revit, the newest 2D/3D design program; History of Interiors; and American Art (might have to pray me through that last one!).

I just found out today that I made the Dean's List for last semester!  Doing so well in my classes is just more confirmation that I'm where the Lord wants me and makes me excited about what the future holds.

My Curious Little Kitten

I loved this book as a little girl...

...and now I love this curious little kitten!

Honey Bunch is discovering all sorts of hiding places...

...but also new arch enemies, especially the kitchen rug, who apparently needs to be taught a lesson!

I promise this blog won't become all about Honey Bunch...but she will be making frequent appearances!

Honey Bunch

I'm just 4 days in to being a cat owner, but here's what I've already learned I can no longer do:

1. Make my bed

2. Watch TV

3. Use my laptop (though no picture proof exists, putting something else in my lap must be her signal to also jump in my lap)

4. Stop taking pictures (is 50 since Saturday excessive??)

5. Stop smiling

Weekend Happenings

I certainly crammed plenty into my last weekend before school starts!  I've been planning like crazy for Barb's visit and so enjoyed our time together.  I love taking her around town to all my new favorite spots.  We had lunch at Which Wich then checked out The Switch House and Home Goods.

I also made some of my new favorite dishes and enjoyed playing the new games Barb brought, Logos and Banana Grams.  Everyone needs a Barb in their life!

Then on Saturday night, Abby and I got a cat!  Actually, we're on a trial run, but I'm thinking Honey Bunch has already cuddled her way into our hearts.

The new year has started off wonderfully!  The Lord gave me Psalm 71:5 this weekend and reminded me that He's brought me this far and He'll see me through whatever the future holds.
"For thou art my hope, O Lord God: thou art my trust from my youth."
